It’s really cold here.  Single digits, if we’re lucky.  It keeps snowing,  just enough to keep the roads bad.  The kids have been out of school since December 22.  They were supposed to go back Monday, but today is Wednesday and they’re still not back.  Even the kids want to get back school.  The girls did go and help at the food pantry this morning, but David’s at that age that when they’re busy, he’s still too little to be very helpful. So he and I stayed home and played on the computer.

They’re all turning into computer junkies.  We usually limit computer time to an hour a kid (including any TV shows they want to watch on the computer), but that’s gone out the window.  If they can’t play on the computer or watch TV, they get bored, and when they’re bored, they either whine or fight.  Of course, these are kids who just had like 5 Christmases, so you’d think they’d have something to do, what with all those new toys and things.

Ah, well…as my mother always said, this, too, shall pass.  I just wish it would hurry.
